Unistress was contracted to produce precast segments for the development and construction of this new parking structure at the busy St. Barnabas Hospital in the Bronx. The new garage was a much-needed improvement over an inefficient lot that could take more than an hour to exit, creating massive inconvenience for hospital employees and visitors.
The six-story precast structure on the site of the old vacant lot is 210,000 sq.ft. and provides 605 parking spaces. The project duration was 14 months from ground breaking to occupancy. This project was completed on time and under budget, returning 1M in saving to the owner.
